BGM for modernica is a Japanese music blog named after a classy little lounge compilation CD that I discovered in the course of my quest to buy every Francfranc mix in existence. Intrigued by the concept of music for one’s living room (or maybe sound furniture for the capsule fans out there?), I found myself wanting to write a blog that was more about music and life than music alone.
I’m Cait, I’m nearing 20 years old and I like studying the Japanese language. I translate and cover music news for Intuned and JpopAsia at the moment. Japanese electronica is my primary source of musical fulfillment, MEG is everything I aspire to be, and I’m so ridiculously smitten with BiS I shouldn’t even be allowed to hate on half the idols I criticize.
